The main objective of LIFE Pinnarca is to prevent the short-to-medium-term extinction of Pinna nobilis. It proposes the implementation of urgent measures within the framework of a collaborative consortium of experts, enabling the application of consistent transboundary measures. The Mar Menor is one of the target locations.
Ecologistas en Acción of the Murcia Region has carried out various activities in this first year related to its role in the project, mainly focusing on raising awareness and disseminating information about the target species. This will continue until the end of 2024, after which mechanisms are planned to assess and continue with the objectives.
